A little more about Marina…

My career search began with big and lofty goals- Pediatric Psychiatry!
3+ year residencies after X years of med school, oh my! After some contemplation (actually, after admitting to the fact that I HATE blood), I realized that med school was NOT for me. I wanted to work with kids, but no where near hospitals. So I thought of pediatric optometry. Who better to work with glasses and children than someone who got their first pair when they were 8? And then I realized, that wasn’t for me either. I want to work with kids everyday, not once a month or once a year. I want to influence their daily lives and be an inspiration to them. After having so many wonderful and inspiring teachers, I realized that I wanted to be among them and become a kindergarten teacher! And that’s my story of how I chose my career path. Look for me in a few years, inspiring our nations future leaders in my kindergarten classroom.
