Every year, the Academy goes above and beyond to connect students with industry giants in their fields. Industry leaders are flown in to view student work during the school's annual Spring Show. School of Fashion students showcase their collections at New York and San Francisco Fashion Week. Advertising students win record-breaking numbers of awards including the ADDYs, ANDYs, and Clios, catching the attention of top firms.

Flexible online learning

Academy of Art University's accredited online degree programs offer the same high level, hands-on education as the San Francisco campus. The Academy's professional instructors have created flexible, cutting-edge online classes to help students achieve their art and design dreams.

Majors and Degrees Offered

The students, who are admitted through an open-enrollment policy, aspire to earn A.A., B.A., B.S., B.F.A., B.Arch. (currently in candidacy status), M.A., M.F.A., or M.Arch. degrees in more than 40 areas of study; as well as continuing art education and certificate programs for those wishing to tailor programs to meet their specific goals; pre-college art experience programs for high school students; and teacher grants. Students can study on-site in San Francisco or through the Academy's flexible online programs (in most areas of study).
